International newspapers praise Vietnam for preserving its natural beauty

According to Travel Off Path, Vietnam is famous for its beautiful scenery, amazingly long coastline and dynamic cities.

When thinking of travel to Southeast Asia, Thailand is often one of the first destinations that pop into the mind of international travelers. However, if you want to get away from the crowds, Vietnam is emerging as a regional destination worth exploring.

According to a report by Google Destination Insights, from March to June, Vietnam was the 7th most searched destination in the world and the only country in Southeast Asia to make the list of the top 20 destinations. Vietnam is fast becoming one of the most popular tourist destinations in Southeast Asia.

The Travel Off Path page has highlighted 3 reasons to make Vietnam an ideal itinerary for international travelers and affirmed that these are the keys to helping Vietnam's tourism industry increasingly rank in the international arena.

Well-preserved natural beauty

Because Vietnam is an emerging tourist destination and does not yet have a large number of tourists like other Southeast Asian countries, many of Vietnam's natural landscapes are still very well preserved. According to the newspaper, Vietnam currently owns many destinations that bring natural beauty. If in the north of Vietnam is a rugged mountainous landscape, in the destinations of central and southern Vietnam, visitors will find incredibly beautiful beaches.

The beautiful scenery in the countryside of Vietnam is also very eye-catching and green. The Vietnamese government currently manages to preserve the cultural heritage very well here.

"Currently, Vietnam's cities are attracting large numbers of tourists. From the old charm of Hanoi to the stunning Ha Long city, Vietnam is becoming Asia's new tourist hotspot thanks to all these attractions and more.

For those on a tight budget, Vietnam is a destination worth visiting. Southeast Asia has long been a generally affordable travel destination. Both Thailand and Vietnam are tourist destinations with reasonable prices and budgets.

And according to the newspaper, Vietnam is also considered one of the best budget destination options in the region. Accommodation, food, and transportation are all cheaper in Vietnam than in Thailand, especially if you're traveling to rural areas of the country.

Adjusted visa policy

From August 15, 2023, international tourists visiting Vietnam will become "easier than ever" for citizens of many countries.

Vietnam's new visa regulations have just increased the temporary stay from 15 days to 45 days for citizens holding passports of Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

The duration of the entry e-visa has also been extended from 30 days to 90 days. Another 80 countries - including the US - are now eligible to enter the country on an e-visa. From August 15, the e-visa will also allow multiple entry into Vietnam, instead of the current system, each e-visa is only eligible for one entry.

This will allow international visitors to come and go as they please. In particular, traveling to and from Vietnam will give international visitors a more complete Asian experience.

Focus on tourism growth target

Besides, the Vietnamese government is currently focusing on encouraging more tourists to visit and increasing the number of tourists this year. Initially, Vietnam aimed to attract about 8 million visitors by the end of this year, but now predicts that the number will likely increase to 10 million visitors by the end of 2023.

Like it or not, social media trends still greatly influence the choice of travelers. And Vietnamese destinations are currently being promoted strongly on social networks such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. The number of hotels in Vietnam's major cities is also increasing markedly.

"We have noticed that in the past three months, the number of international guests staying at the hotel system has increased significantly," said a spokesman for the hotel system Fuse Hostels and Travel.

Vietnam is now Asia's new tourist hotspot. And so far, the country's tourism development roadmap is still considered quite good. With such an effective approach, this is the perfect time for tourists to discover the beautiful and fascinating Vietnam.
