Vietnam owns a 3 million-year-old cave, enough to accommodate a 40-story skyscraper

"Even those who have conquered Mount Everest say that discovering Son Doong cave is the most amazing thing, that it is the most wonderful place they have ever been to in their lives."

The Guinness Book of World Records recognized Son Doong Cave as the largest cave in the world, based on the overall size of the cave with a volume of 38.5 million m3, surpassing Hang Deer in Malaysia, which held the previous world record.

In the dataset of  Guinness World Records,  Son Doong Cave is about 200 meters high, 150 meters wide and has a length of at least 6.5 km. Son Doong Cave is located in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Bo Trach District, Quang Binh Province, Vietnam.

According to current surveys and explorations, Son Doong cave has a total length of 9 km and consists of about 150 individual caves, an underground jungle and several underground rivers.

The  India Times  (India) again described that Son Doong was hidden in the heart of the jungle. The underground labyrinth, formed over millions of years, is up to 200 meters high and 160 meters wide. The space of the cave is so large that it can accommodate an entire neighborhood of New York City (USA) complete with 40-story skyscrapers.

Diving to explore Son Doong underground river - Making history!

First discovered in the 1990s by a local and officially explored by British explorers in 2009, Son Doong has shocked the world with its incredible size.

The cave continues to hold the record of the largest cave on Earth after the event in early April 2019 - underground river diving exploration in Son Doong cave. Official results confirm that Son Doong is actually bigger than we thought, Oxalis Adventure information.

Oxalis Adventure, the only company licensed to bring tourists into Son Doong cave, has invited a group of British divers - including Jason Mallinson, Rick Stanton and Chris Jewell - to visit Son Doong cave after the famous 2018 expedition to rescue the stranded soccer team in Thailand.

In the first week of April 2019, the underground river inside Son Doong cave was dived by a group of British divers with a length of 78 meters and marked history as the deepest cave dive ever done in Vietnam!

The startling expedition dive in the underground river of Son Doong shocked the world at the time and stunned experts and nature lovers with another thrilling secret.

All the major Western news channels talk about the pioneering diving expedition and the fact that Son Doong is still the largest cave on our planet, but in reality it could be even bigger than we thought.

One of the most famous media channels in the world,  CNN Travel (USA)  has published an article about this amazing discovery, and shared the video to show the world the majesty of Son Doong cave.

"It's amazing that something as important as the world's largest cave is still being explored and better understood. No one has ever set foot in Son Doong until 2009. MSN and Kids.com.au also expressed their amazement at the extraordinary discovery beneath Son Doong Cave.

Both the science news and tourism community can't help but be excited about the mysterious underground connection between Son Doong and Hang Thung, what will happen when the rotations return in 2020 and brilliantly tell the world about the interesting things hidden inside the Phong Nha - Ke Bang national population.
